We have contracted Bartlett Contractors on several of our projects under our Wessex Water alliance agreement. The most recent being our Preston Sewerage contract. at the Preston project Bartletts were contracted to lay some 2000 lm of 450mm HPPE accross green field land consisting of undulating open farmland, a small river crossing (under EA consent) Archaeological, SSSI and English nature sensitive areas, with all pipework to be ‘Butt-welded’ on site, in 12m lengths. The range of excavation has varied from nominal 900mm cover to a significant length of ‘Deep dig’ at 5m to invert level, We have found Bartlett Contractors to be a competent contractor in all health & safety, quality, contractual and construction matters and we will not hesitate to use them on any other equivalent schemes

A gang of Bartletts men have just completed water mains renewal in Stoke Abbott. They were unfailingly polite, considerate and good fun to have around. They caused minimum disruption and very willingly moved any equipment that prevented us from going in and out of the village and they finished the job weeks early. Bartlett Contractors have recently successfully completed approximately 700m of 180mm diametre MDPE rising main approximately 30m of 225mm diameter Clayware Gravity sewer on a current contract for UKAEA and Thames Water Utilities Ltd at Harwell Business Centre. All open cut works were to a depth of 2m. Works also included the construction of 1 number washout chamber (depth 1.3m and 1.5m respectively) and 2 number air valve chambers (depth 2.2m). These works were carried out to a high standard and were completed on programme and within budget. Throughout the contract we found Bartlett Contractors to be very professional and competent in Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, Contractual, Commercial and Construction matters and would not hesitate to invite them to tender for future works

We have recently employed Bartlett Contractors to supply and lay the pipework on a project at Bridgwater, as part of our AMP3 alliance with Wessex Water. The scheme involved laying 2km of rising mains, gravity sewers and portable water mains. Pipe sizes ranged from 80 to 300mm diametre using materials such as MDPE, clay and ductile iron. The complexity of the project entailed work in roads, farmland and through a live construction site. As a result, Bartletts were required to interface with the public, the Environment Agency, our client Wessex Water, and other third party contractors. All the work that we sublet to Bartlett was finished to a high standard, completed on programme and delivered within budget. Throughout this project, our team have found Bartlett Contractors to be very helpful and professional in their dealings with all Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental and Contractual matters. As a result we would not hesitate to work with them on future schemes

I am writing to recommend the use of Bartlett Contractors Ltd on projects involving both general civil engineering works and reinforced concrete works. We have successfully used this contractor over a period of several years and most recently on the construction of a 25 metre long reinforced concrete train inspection pit for Network Rail / South West Trains at Weymouth. We have always found them a competent and reliable contractor and would not hesitate in using them again

Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to May Gurney and also Bartlett Contractors Ltd, for the professional and high standard of which the works have been undertaken at all times through this operation. It has been the first time I have worked with Bartlett Contractors, and I must say that the standard of work is unrivalled, at all stages of the works from ground clearance through to reinstating, the standard has remained high, even the appearance of the lads on site is good all PPE on at all times and in good clean order. For the size and scale of the operations that have been conducted there has been no complaints from the public, nor any other form of problems, all work areas have been left in immaculate condition as if no one has been there

As part of our Q A procedures we request our site agents to report against the plant hire and suppliers involved in the contract. The plant hire categories are: 1. Delivery / Time Keeping 2. Quality of Plant 3. Response to Break Downs etc. The site agents has recorded the highest score possible for your plant / driver and I would like to thank tou for the service your company has supplied and the operator employed
